Acnecide Face Wash Spot Treatment with Benzoyl Peroxide 5% w/w Gel

Acnecide Face Wash Spot Treatment with Benzoyl Peroxide 5% w/w Gel (50g) is an effective wash-off treatment for mild facial acne.

Formulated with Benzoyl Peroxide to effectively kill up to 95% of the bacteria which cause spots, it also contains Microsphere Technology, which helps absorb excess oil while releasing Glycerine, an active hydrating agent that ensures skin stays moisturised and unbeatably smooth. The intensive formula also helps to unclog less irritated pores, helping to reduce the appearance of white and blackheads.

Directions of use:

• Wet skin and gently rub a small amount of the wash on to the affected areas to form a lather. Leave on the skin for 1-2 minutes then rinse thoroughly and pat skin dry.
• Apply wash once or twice a day to all affected areas of the face avoiding contact with sensitive areas such as the eyes, mouth, nose lining and neck.
• Start by using this product on alternate days to minimise this risk and then gradually increase the frequency up to twice a day use if tolerated.Hazards and Precautions:

• Avoid contact with the eyes, eyelids, lips and other delicate areas of skin.
• Suitable for adults and children over 12 years of age with mild facial acne.
• Do not use with other acne treatments and Benzoyl Peroxide products unless advised by your doctor.
• Always read the label and leaflet before use.
• Do not use if you have any inflamed spots or larger lumps on your face, because you may have more severe acne and you should see your pharmacist or doctor for advice.
• Do not use if you have previous scarring from acne on the face or if you have acne on other parts of your body e.g. shoulders, back or chest.
• Do not use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients listed.
• If you are unsure about whether this medicine is suitable for you, please consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine.
• Always keep medicines out of sight and reach of babies and young children.
• Do not use with other acne treatments and Benzoyl Peroxide products unless advised by your doctor.
• If your acne gets worse while using Acnecide Face Wash or if it does not improve within 12 weeks, it is important that you see your pharmacist or doctor for advice. Undertreatment of some forms of acne may sometimes result in scarring. Your pharmacist or doctor will be able to recommend an alternative treatment for your acne.
• If you are pregnant, think you may be pregnant, planning to have a baby, or breastfeeding, consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine.
• Try to avoid exposure to strong sunlight whilst using Acnecide Face Wash. If exposure is unavoidable, use a suitable sunscreen and apply the treatment in the evening.
• If your skin becomes severely irritated, or severe redness, itching or peeling of the skin occurs, discontinue use immediately and consult your pharmacist or doctor.
• This product may bleach hair and coloured fabrics including clothing, towels and bed linen. Be careful to avoid contact of the Face Wash with these materials. Please make sure that you wash your hands thoroughly after you have used it.
